What we collect
RootNook is a static website. When you read an article, we do not place tracking cookies, run session analytics on you, or build a profile. Your reading is your own business.
The only data we might receive is what you choose to send us: an email tojulia@rootnook.com, a message through the contact page, or a subscription to the Seasonal Letter. That data is used only to reply to you and is never sold or shared.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the Seasonal Letter, your email address is stored with our email provider solely to deliver the letter. You can unsubscribe with one click at any time, and we will delete your address on request.
Links and embeds
Articles may link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. We do not embed third-party analytics, ad networks, or social widgets on our pages.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, aggregate-only page counters that do not identify individual visitors, set no cookies, and cannot be used to track you across sites.
Your rights
You may request a copy of any data we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email julia@rootnook.com and we will respond within two weeks.
