Affiliate Disclosure
Sometimes we link to products we recommend. When we do, we tell you, and here is exactly how it works.
The short version
Some articles on RootNook contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy the product, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to products we have used, tested, or would genuinely buy ourselves.
How you will know
Every article that contains affiliate links carries a short disclosure note at the bottom of the page, and the links themselves are ordinary links, never disguised. Articles without the note contain no affiliate links.
What changes and what does not
An affiliate link changes nothing about the price you pay. It also changes nothing about what we write. We do not accept payment for coverage, we do not publish sponsored posts that pose as editorial, and we never let a partnership dictate a recommendation. If a product is bad, we say it is bad, commission or not.
Where the money goes
Commissions pay for hosting, tools, and the occasional very large bag of potting soil. They keep the site free of paywalls and banner ads. Thank you for supporting independent, practical home and garden writing.
